The cellars of Pietratorce were created by three ancient Ischian peasant families: Iacono, Regine and Verde.
Over seven hectares of land have been replanted with selected vines that produce Biancolella, Forastera, Uva Rilla, Viognier, Malvasia di Candia aromatica, Fiano and Greco (for white wines); Guarnaccia, Piedirosso, Aglianico, Sirah (for red wines).
The plants are cared for in micro-zones with a high vocation, in the area of Forio and Serrara Fontana, with a western exposure that is nothing short of extraordinary.
Today, after a long journey of technical training, recovery of cultivation traditions and vitine-oenological research, assisted in this path by a team of the highest level trained in the prestigious Institute of San Michele all'Adige, the wineries of Pietratorce produce small productions of value with the aim of restoring to the island of Ischia the role of producer of excellence in the international wine scene.
